Kitchen Remodel

Kitchen Remodel

Here is another recent story about an extensive job that came together just right.

We just completed the redesign and remodel of our kitchen and small bath in Bellevue and wanted to thank you and your company. We love our new kitchen! The floor to ceiling cherry cabinets are beautiful; the marble counter tops are amazing; the lighting and electrical systems are all up to code; and everything works as planned. The Bellevue Kitchen Designer came up with a workable/creative way of rethinking the space and listened patiently to our ideas and needs. (Note, we had initiated this project with 4 other companies, but your designer was the one who came up with the best conceptual design and then followed through to get our business). The project engineer methodically measured and planned out the installation as well as made helpful suggestions many of which we incorporated into the design.
We spent a morning and picked out beautiful granite from so many options in the Seattle warehouse. The tile designer met with us one Saturday morning and put together a simple creative glass tile back splash design that ties together all of the many elements of the kitchen as well as our ideas. The many show room staff helped as needed along the way to order materials and answer our many questions.
We really appreciated your fine group of professional, friendly, knowledgeable installers, most especially, our site manager. He was with us every weekday for 10 weeks and went above and beyond the call of duty during the several snowstorms to make sure we got our kitchen functional as planned on Christmas Eve. Your site manager was amazing in his ability to think through how and when it all needed to come together. He did a great job working with other members of your team, the framer, tiler, and drywaller, plus all the other sub contractors including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, countertop and flooring, and the city inspectors to keep the project moving forward in a timely manner. He always kept us informed every step of the way. In addition he did fantastic finish carpentry work. We live and work out of our home, so we were with him every step of the way during the installation. It was a great experience and we learned a great deal seeing all of the steps it takes to tear things out, rewire, re plumb, do the drywall, and then install your cabinets, the flooring and counters. All of the sub contractors (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, countertop installers, and flooring) did an outstanding job for us as well. My husband and I are looking forward to many years of use and enjoyment of this new kitchen. It was actually a fairly enjoyable experience and we will recommend your company to friends and family. Please let all of those who worked on our project know how much we appreciate their skills and hard work.

Choices for Kitchen Cabinet Colors

Beautiful Cabinets

Beautiful Cabinets

When it comes to refacing or remodeling kitchens, there are so many choices. But that is okay because you can have fun with it. As we noted last week, there is no need to feel as if you are drowning in a sea of remodeling choices.  When you come into our design showroom to explore the many ways that you can update the look of your kitchen, we won’t dictate to you. You will have free reign to explore.

When it comes to choosing a cabinet style for your kitchen’s new look, keep your appliances in mind. Are you getting new ones or keeping the appliances you already have? This makes a big difference.

For example, if you are going to purchase brand new, yet retro-looking appliances, you might consider choosing a cabinet style that is a little retro too. These new-old styles do not mimic what was once in style exactly. Instead they use older cabinet styles for inspiration, while still managing to look fresh.

On the other end of the spectrum, you can see cabinet designs that have a modern flavor to them. These kinds of cabinets will go well if you have a much more modern theme in mind for your home and kitchen.

Some people are also turning to more earthy themes and colors for their kitchens and appliances. When this is the desired look, some customers go for cabinets that show the wood grain to for an even more earthy look. And stone countertops blend in very well with cabinets that show the wood grain.

If you are a big fan of color, then you might want to go for kitchen cabinets that come in distinctive colors. That’s right, when it comes to kitchen cabinets, you are not limited to brown, beige or white. Create some excitement in your kitchen with cabinets that are a deep red, for example. We make cabinets with custom stain and paint colors that are developed by experienced professionals.

Of course you are not obligated to choose just one style. One of the great things about contemporary style and design is that you can feel free to mix up styles and colors. We have had customers who did this very thing and the results were amazing. Our professional design consultants can help you select the cabinet style or styles that will work best for your kitchen and lifestyle.

Kitchen Remodels Add to the Value of Your Home

A New Kitchen Will Add Value to Your Home

A New Kitchen Will Add Value to Your Home

Remodeling your kitchen can add value to your home–both for you and for potential buyers should you decide to sell your home at some point down the road. According to the 2008-2009 Cost vs. Value Report put out by Remodeling magazine (in conjunction with REALTOR magazine), home owners can recoup 76% of the costs of a major kitchen remodel.

When you remodel your kitchen this means that you have beautiful new space to look at each and every day.

Whether you are a true foodie who is always trying new recipes or someone who goes into the kitchen just to make coffee and put take-out on a plate, the you will feel much better in the updated space. The kitchen really is the heart of the home and it doesn’t matter if you cook all the time or never cook at all.

And when you entertain, it is often hard to get guests to leave the kitchen and go into other parts of the house. You want to put your best foot forward and a remodeling the kitchen will help you do this.

This same principal applies when it comes to selling your home. Buyers who tour your house will be more likely to consider your home if it has an attractive, remodeled kitchen. This is especially true if you live in an area where similar homes have remodeled kitchens. In addition to this, if you or previous owners have already taken the time to update other rooms like the den, bedrooms, bathrooms or dining room, you do not want an outdated kitchen. It will stick out like a sore thumb. A buyer who comes through will likely calculate how much they would have to spend to get the kitchen up to par with the rest of the house. Would-be buyers could pass over your house in favor of another house that has a modern kitchen that will not need to be remodeled.

Your newly remodeled kitchen will come with great energy-efficient appliances that will save you money. This is also a great selling point should you decide to sell because the buyer will be able to move in and already have the advantages of energy-efficient appliances.

Call  New Face Kitchen Systems at 1-800-780-0123 to discuss how you can give your kitchen a new look for you to enjoy, both now and in the future when it adds to your resale value.

It all went so well!

When you read our letters you start to see that we have the best employees and the best customers. Those two together and things start to look easy.  Thank you so much for the kind words Dave and Vicki. Enjoy your beautiful kitchen, while we enjoy your feedback one more time.

Dear SIGNATURE CABINETS management and staff,

Thank You!

Thank You!

We wish to thank you so very much for making our kitchen remodel a manageable and enjoyable experience! We enjoyed working with everyone who had a part in our remodel and found them to very knowledgeable at their jobs. We never expected it to move so smoothly. Even the little glitches along the way were resolved quickly and professionally. We liked how we were always kept informed about the different appointments; that the contracts were well written and updated (with copies to us) as we went along; and that we never ever felt that any question or concern was not of importance. If we changed our minds about something and it could be changed, it was. The staff at the showroom always seemed so helpful and happy to work with us when we were making decisions. We really appreciated Brandy’s help with the granite!!!

We first worked with Karin A. who helped us design our kitchen. Since we decided to both reface and replace cabinets, she was very informative on how to blend the old and new cabinets. She had a lot of ideas for updating the kitchen that we had not even thought of.
Next came Steve, our engineer, who did the final measurements for the cabinet construction. 8ecause we didn’t remove all of our cabinets, he went out of his way to make us aware of anything that we might notice to be off centered. If it was going to be a problem, he worked with us to make it acceptable. There were no surprises. We really liked how he used moldings to blend in the cabinets.

When it came to the actual remodeling, we found it to be not nearly as inconvenient as expected! We were very much impressed with Ed T., our Project Manager/Installer. He was always friendly and informative. We knew pretty much from the beginning when the electricians and other subcontractors were coming, especially if we needed to be there. We were never concerned about asking questions or pointing out something that we were not sure about. Ed’s attention to detail and craftsmanship was very impressive. He definitely knew what he was doing when it came to refacing the old cabinets. We were amazed how he could come up with little fixes. Before he left every day, the work area was always cleaned up.

Overall, we cannot speak more highly of New Face Kitchens Systems. The project started and finished as planned with no real problems. Even though we only worked with a few people we are sure that the quality of staff and installers is reflected throughout your company. WE WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND YOU TO ANYONE.

Sincerely,
Dave and Vicki B
