Beautiful Cabinets

Beautiful Cabinets

When it comes to refacing or remodeling kitchens, there are so many choices. But that is okay because you can have fun with it. As we noted last week, there is no need to feel as if you are drowning in a sea of remodeling choices.  When you come into our design showroom to explore the many ways that you can update the look of your kitchen, we won’t dictate to you. You will have free reign to explore.

When it comes to choosing a cabinet style for your kitchen’s new look, keep your appliances in mind. Are you getting new ones or keeping the appliances you already have? This makes a big difference.

For example, if you are going to purchase brand new, yet retro-looking appliances, you might consider choosing a cabinet style that is a little retro too. These new-old styles do not mimic what was once in style exactly. Instead they use older cabinet styles for inspiration, while still managing to look fresh.

On the other end of the spectrum, you can see cabinet designs that have a modern flavor to them. These kinds of cabinets will go well if you have a much more modern theme in mind for your home and kitchen.

Some people are also turning to more earthy themes and colors for their kitchens and appliances. When this is the desired look, some customers go for cabinets that show the wood grain to for an even more earthy look. And stone countertops blend in very well with cabinets that show the wood grain.

If you are a big fan of color, then you might want to go for kitchen cabinets that come in distinctive colors. That’s right, when it comes to kitchen cabinets, you are not limited to brown, beige or white. Create some excitement in your kitchen with cabinets that are a deep red, for example. We make cabinets with custom stain and paint colors that are developed by experienced professionals.

Of course you are not obligated to choose just one style. One of the great things about contemporary style and design is that you can feel free to mix up styles and colors. We have had customers who did this very thing and the results were amazing. Our professional design consultants can help you select the cabinet style or styles that will work best for your kitchen and lifestyle.

Refacing Will Give Your Kitchen New Life

Refacing

Refacing

For those of you who are looking around your kitchen and thinking that it could use a change, consider refacing your kitchen.  The costs of refacing are not the same as remodeling costs. If you have wanted to get an updated look for your kitchen, but thought that it would be much too costly, be aware that some kitchen refacing projects can be completed for up to half the cost of a remodeling a kitchen.

You may have heard an expert say that the quickest way to bring life to a room is to paint. Well…that advice applies for many rooms, but it does not necessarily apply to the kitchen. If you simply paint the wall spaces between and around your same old cabinets, you may not get the new ambience that you seek. In fact, the new paint may only highlight the defects of your old cabinets.

Instead of slapping on a new coat of paint, try giving your kitchen a new face. Refacing takes the star elements of your kitchen, like the cabinets, and breathes new life into them. The cabinets really are the focal point of the kitchen and when they are faded-looking or old-fashioned, the entire room is affected. Even when you get a shiny new stove or refrigerator, they may still be overpowered by dated cabinets.

New Face Kitchen Systems will replace your old doors and give you new door fronts. After this, exposed cabinet surfaces get a covered with matching material. You will also get new moldings. As a finishing touch you will get self-closing, hidden hinges. So not only does your kitchen get a new look, it gets new functionality too. If you have never had self-closing hinges before, you will be quite pleased with this convenience.

The time it takes to complete a kitchen refacing project can vary, depending on how large your kitchen is and the work involved, but it is possible to get a kitchen with a sparking new look in just a few days.

And if you like what you see in your kitchen, you may even decide that you want to have your bathroom cabinets replaced as well. NFKS can take care of this as well. You want the rooms you visit often to be pleasing to your eye and we are here to help. Call us today at 1-800-780-0123.

Bathroom Remodel

Bathroom Remodel

Kitchens often steal the show around here because we do so many of them. Don’t forget we can make your bathroom a great space to be in. Here is a very recent letter. We still have literally hundreds of letters to get to, but sometimes it’s nice to pull one off of the top of the pile.

To all involved in our master bath remodel:

We are enjoying our new bath! The design couldn’t be better.  Not only do we now  have ample storage; the room actually seems larger than before. The polished slate shower turned out beautifully and the river rock shower floor has proved to be a favorite of the new design. The only drawback to the new shower is that I would like to take a much longer shower each day! It is a very relaxing and pleasant space.

Several years ago your company updated our kitchen and we were quite pleased with the results. So we returned to Signature cabinets when it came time to update the bath. In both cases we’ve found that the designers take the time to actually listen to their clients and then develop a design that works for them.

All of the installers were most helpful in working around our schedules and we appreciated their attention to detail and their careful cleanup. Working with Signature Cabinets has been a most pleasant experience, and we are quite happy with the results.

Sincerely,

Alan and Carol K
